Daily counter planner providing technical assistance and information to citizens and public including development project status, plan check, zoning and Municipal Code assistance. Review, process and approve development permit applications including zoning clearances, plot plans, sign permits, site development permits, temporary use permits, minor variances and other various technical planning permits.
Review and plan check of commercial, industrial and residential development project plans for compliance with zoning and Municipal Code requirements; require adjustments as necessary. Conduct site inspections for compliance with current development codes for current projects, verify plans and final permits for planning sign off. Assist code enforcement division with code compliance determinations relating to zoning and Municipal Code. Conduct site visits with Code Enforcement Officers to determine code violations and code compliance. Attend meetings with responsible party and code enforcement staff with goals of finding solutions for voluntary compliance. Review and process residential design review applications including preparation of staff reports and presentations at Planning Commission meetings.
